Its for this very reason the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has spent the last couple of years working to set up the new UK Cyber Security Council (of which we are a member) to start implementing new standards within the industry.

Having standards adopted by all IT professionals will mean a level playing field for businesses, proper security protection and a little piece of mind for business owners. It also provides a one stop notification place for all IT Professional alerting them to the newest dangers within the cyber crime industries.
